Hi Tarot Tribe, today we are going through the third part of my Tarot for Beginners series - The Structure of The Tarot Deck. If you missed the first two parts of the series you can find Part One here and Part Two here. Before I begin, as with everything I share, take what resonates with you and simply leave the rest. For this blog post and video, I am using the Rider Waite Smith system. I believe that the way we experience and view the Tarot is personal and is evolving. This is how I work with the deck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6bcFV9uFrM I believe that each...

PREVIOUS BLOG | MASTER LIST | NEXT BLOG Welcome to the Litha Tarot Blog Hop for 2015. We are over halfway through the Wheel of the Year — it’s going by so quickly! For this season's theme, we were asked to choose a Tarot card from the Major Arcana and write about it in any way we wanted in order to express our thoughts, feelings, interpretations, and so on of the card. I chose The Moon and I wanted to do a comparison focused on the differences between The Moon in the Tarot and the Moon card in the Lenormand Oracle System. As a...

Just before our son was born J-Guy and I watched the entire series of Breaking Bad. We were late to the party, we know. I have to say that Breaking Bad is probably the best television show I have ever seen. The acting is incredible. The characters were excellent which made me link them to a new course that I am developing about the Major Arcana and our personal Archetypes and the Archetypes of the Breaking Bad characters popped into my mind. Now these are my reflections on the characters based the Major Arcana and what cards I feel suit them the most. Like...

Previous / Master / Next This seasons theme was for us to explore times and encounters with cards that for some reason or another stuck out for us, or that challenged our usual way of thinking, or was different than expected There has always been one card in the Tarot Deck until about a year ago that I always got a little stuck on. It wasn't that I didn't know the interpretation of the card it was more that it felt lofty and hard for me to put into real life perspective. The card was the Major Arcana card of Temperance. Temperance appears right...

PREVIOUS BLOG - MASTER LIST - NEXT BLOG This Tarot Blog Hop theme is the Union of Opposites. My take on this are some of the opposing Tarot Combinations that can come up during a Tarot Reading. Tarot Combinations are something that I love exploring. It is even better when you have more than one person have a look at the cards and see what they see in the combination. We all see different and interesting things which is one of the great things about the Tarot. I have a list of pairs of what I would consider opposites or that picture some...

Blessed with some time this weekend I conducted a 2014 Tarot Forecast for myself for 2014. I am currently working through Leonie Dawson's 2014 Create Your Amazing Year workbook - Life and Biz Edition. In the workbook there is a double page spread for a yearly oracle forecast. So I decided to do mine with my favorite Tarot deck for reading for the last few years and see what was in store for 2014.  A LOT OF DUDES The first thing that I noticed was that this was a VERY masculine reading. In fact the only card that has a women on...
