There are a lot of paid Tarot apps out there for your phone and tablet and many of them are totally worth the price to pay for them when you don’t have room for your Tarot deck or forget it when rushing out the door.
There are however some cool free ones available that I wanted to share for those who are looking for a new Tarot app or for those who have just started their journey with the Tarot and want a free resource before committing financially to a physical deck.

The Fool’s Dog – Tarot Sampler 1-4 – iTunes
The Fool’s Dog has a lot of deck apps available and some of them are so fantastic especially for sold out decks like The Ostara Tarot. What I love about this company is that they have 4 Tarot Sampler Apps which allows you to explore different Tarot decks and still have a mobile reading studio with you. Warning – These apps will make your Tarot wish list grow.
MoodWorks – Tarot Free – iTunes
Another free app that you can use to have your Tarot read and record your readings. This app uses the Rider Waite Smith Tarot for it’s app so you will be getting the classic imagery and can learn about that system as well.
Kris Waldherr Art and Words –Â Goddess Tarot Lite – iTunes
There are a ton of popular decks that have LITE versions of the app for free. Allowing you to spend some time with the deck to see if you resonate with it. This is one of those apps.
Galaxy Tone Software – Galaxy Tarot – Google Play
Galaxy Tone has some awesome Tarot Apps that are paid, including the popular app for the Wild Unknown Tarot. They do also have a great Free app.
Magic Tarot Cards and Horoscopes Inc. – Tarot Cards and Horoscope – Google Play
This is one very popular app!

Hello Ethony, thank you for sharing these apps. I have all of them except the google play ones, I am a apple gal and the Tarot free by Mood works I am downloading now. There is an awesome astrology app called TimePassages. Would love to have the Wild Unknown app. I like the fairy tale app because it is not published anymore. Would love to have a hard copy of it though but not for $180 bucks! I enjoy you IG account and your blog. Some day i will sign up for your tarot boss. Blessings

I think the best Tarot app is Mysterious Tarot. You can download it on Google Play Store. It is different from other Tarot apps. Most of them give only the general meaning of the cards instead of a full reading. Mysterious Tarot interprets Tarot spreads audibly and fluently as a real Tarot reader does and gives a full Tarot reading text.
It is possible to choose between both artificial intelligence support and a real tarot interpreter. In addition, the Tarot encyclopedia in it is very rich. My favorite feature is that I can create my own Tarot Spread and use it within the app. It has many features that I can’t finish counting here. I have never seen so many features in any other Tarot app. In my opinion, the Mysterious Tarot app is also one of the best Tarot app in the Google Play Store.

And it can announce drawn cards in English or German plus with female or male voice. You can save your spread or copy your spread as text and mail it to someone else for a more complex reading if you like.…

The best tarot app in my opinion is MEU TAROT. It looks great and it is so easy to interpret your own deck without having to flick through pages or looking for cards online. It has both digital and physical options, several decks and spreads. It is available for both IOS and Android.
