Rebecca and I connected through a MasterMind group that we were both part of and I recognised someone who was SO on my level. Any woman out there helping other women become their own heroes is a Goddess in my books. I was so excited when I saw that she had created Oracle Decks! I have an unboxing video of The Abundant SHEro Oracle Deck and will be reviewing the deck next week. There are so many goodies available on her site.
We will be connecting again for something special later on in 2016, which I am so excited about and she has sone wonderful projects in the pipeline for this year. I am so pleased to welcome Rebecca Kane to share her SHEro journey with my Tarot Tribe.
Can you share a little about yourself. Where you are from, what you are passionate about and what is your profession?
I grew up in Cornwall in the UK, where the beach was my playground, and I now live in the lush, green countryside.
I’m passionate about nature, her cycles, her rhythms and her magic. Growing up in Cornwall I was surrounded by myths and magic and still to this day love mythology and storytelling.
Over 15 years ago I experienced the power of energy medicine. I had developed eczema that had seemingly developed out of nowhere, and the energy medicine completely cleared my skin up, even after the Dr’s couldn’t. I went along to my session as a complete sceptic, but once I saw the power of this work, I immediately started my journey of discovery and have been practising and learning ever since.
I run a company called Your SHEro’s Journey that guides women back home to themselves, so that they can reconnect to their intuition and their magic, bringing them to a place of wholeness.
How did this journey of creating the deck unfold?
At the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey one of the biggest blocks that kept coming up for me was my relationship with money and abundance.
I could feel there was an energetic pattern that was playing out for me, but I couldn’t quite ‘see’ it. I’d invested £1000’s with various money coaches, who basically told me the same things and gave me the typical exercises to do, but yet I still felt that there was something deeper going on.
I’d had energy work, tried tapping, journaling and of course all the exercises given to me by the coaches, but I still felt limited. Although I had great abundance in my life and could earn well, I had always had trouble holding on to money or saving enough so that I felt fully financially secure.
Many times I’d turned to my various oracle and tarot cards to offer me guidance and although it gave me some insight, it never felt complete.
One day I was on holiday in Cornwall, we were staying in a hotel overlooking a beautiful, long beach. We’d spent hours walking on the beach, and at that time wearing my baby. When we got back to the hotel we were very windswept and nicely tired!
I can so clearly remember this… I’d put my little boy on the bed for a sleep, as I got off the bed and walked the balcony, as clear as if a friend was speaking to me, I heard the words ‘create an oracle deck for abundance.’
At first I was slightly taken a back, but I knew this was one of the times that I had to listen and act. So I picked up my journal and started to write about the cards. How they would feel, what they would address, how they would answer the readers’ questions. It all came flooding out. And it was very clear that they would draw on the magic of the mineral kingdom.
They were in fact the cards that I had always wanted to support me heal my patterns with money and abundance. They shined a light on the patterns playing out and offered insight in how to re-balance the patterns to bring harmony.
I knew the cards had to have the healing power of the mandala too. I’d previously worked with a very talented and intuitive artist Simona Arian Cordara and knew she was the person to create the art work for the cards – and she was the perfect choice!
What were the unexpected challenges creating this deck?
I had created summaries for all of the cards under a super full moon and all the information had come flowing out beautifully and with ease. The cards were created, and I had several decks printed, but I just couldn’t find the flow for the guide book. Several moon cycles later, it all came flowing out again.
It’s like I had to really dive deep into each card and heal any remaining patterns that were there and surrender to being led by the cycles of Mother Nature and the individual SHEroes themselves.
What is your favourite Oracle Card? (of your deck or in general)
My favourite Abundant SHEro in this deck is Garnet. I love the image and maybe the idea of being supported is really appealing to me as a new(ish), first time mum!
In the tarot one of my favourite cards is The Star and its association with one of my favourite goddesses Ishtar. I love the vulnerability and strength of this card and knowing that we all have the power to transform and walk in both worlds.

How do you use Oracle decks and/or Tarot in your spiritual practice?
I seek guidance from the tarot and oracle cards pretty much daily. If I’m making a decision, or creating something new I will draw on the wisdom of the cards. If I’m feeling ‘stuck’ around an issue I will ask for guidance. I have different cards that resonate for different things/concerns. Some decks are gentler if I’m after some kind and supportive advice, others don’t mess around and get straight to the heart of the matter, often giving me a not so gentle nudge in the right direction!
Any advice for the artists and creators reading this?
If you have an idea work with it, take action to bring it to life, but don’t force it. Speak to your creativity and see how it best wants to come through – it might not be how you first imagined, so give it the space to grow.
Any exciting projects in the creative pipeline?
I’m actually working on another oracle deck, this one is based on the energies and cycles of the moon. And in February I’m launching The SHEroes Cauldron, an online women’s circle, based on the principles of The Red Tent movement, which I’m very excited about as it brings together so much of what I love!
