My book, Tarot Grimoire, came out in August 2024, and I want to share with you some of the spreads and spells from the book. To take the words off the page and let them come to life.
I want to start with the tarot card, The Four of Cups. Why? Because the spell and spread in Tarot Grimoire are ones I felt deep in my soul when creating.
There was a lot of Four of Cups of energy in 2024 for myself, and connecting with my bumblebees worldwide, I wasn’t alone. So, this is for you if you’re still trying to shrug off any apathy or want to reengage with your emotions and the opportunities out there for you.
Four of Cups
Key concepts – apathy, boredom, fatigue, disconnection
The Four of Cups represents the energies of apathy on many levels. Usually, the figure in the card has closed-off body language. There is no movement either; everything is stagnant, and water that doesn’t move is a breeding ground for nasty things. Anyone who’s tried to re-engage in life after a long illness or a difficult time in their life knows that getting your energy moving is the most difficult part. Everything is right in front of you when this card is presented; you just have to be willing to take what’s being offered to you and do something with it.

Ethony, this video was SUCH A TREAT! Just watching it, travelling to Squamish with you, looking at the 4 of Cups page in your Grimoire, was enough to lift me out of any apathy I might’ve been feeling. Thank you so much – what a gift!
As always, your spreads are creative and meaty. My newly formed tarot group & I did your Book Store spread at our last meeting. They loved it!
Also, thank you for reminding me of US Games’ Faerie Tarot. I haven’t looked at it in years, grabbed it, and followed along with you today.
Given that I loved your thoughts on the 8 of Swords today, and I often get stuck on it (no Sword pun intended), I submit that one for your next video Grimoire project.
Thanks so much for all the insight, joy, and creativity you bring to the tarot world.
Cheers,
