North West Tarot Symposium, Witchy & Tarot Haul

Hi Tarot Tribe, last week I had the total pleasure of heading to Portland for the North West Tarot Symposium and I wanted to share my experience with you all this year as an attendee and show you all of the goodies I got over the weekend.

If you don’t like haul videos this probably won’t be for you because I have a lot of magical goodies to share with you as well as talking about the event.

I had an amazing weekend. I had so much fun and it was just a wonderful events that the NWTS crew put on. I find it hard to leave my son so I am really happy when I do take the time away from him that I have an incredible time. It makes me feel like it is worth it.

My first year at NWST was in 2017 where I was lucky enough to be a presenter. It was so much fun, clearly as I went this year but last year I was so sick that I missed most of the conference because I was sleeping so much so I was so glad I was well enough to enjoy the shit out of myself this year.

It all began with a…

Witchy Road Trip

I went to Portland and NWTS with my friends Michelle from EOCharka Products and Khyrah from Divinenoctivaga and we drove down. It was perfection. Great company and a lovely drive with fellow witches is pretty great.

We went to New Renaissance books which is sooooo beautiful and a vortex of mystical goodness. I got a new book on Runes, a stunning indie divination set and some witchy charms.

We then went to 180 Churros x and shared some churros and they were delicious. I am used to San Churros where you get the loveliest chocolate with your churros so to have marshmallow and lemon dip was random but it was delicious.

One of my highlights of the weekend was having a pre NWTS dinner at the Olive Garden with some of the members of the Awakened Soul Coven and Tarot community from the Tarot Readers Academy and the 78 Tarot Crew (Their Kickstarter for Mythica is live right now ) It was soooo much fun. I finally got to hug people that I have known online for years and they are more beautiful in person and total unicorns. Seeing people friends that I have not seen in a year too was amazing.

Friday morning we hit up The Raven’s Wing metaphysical store and spent more money. What a place. Not only are there just a plethora of magical goodies but the altars around the space dedicated to different Gods and Goddesses are incredible. I purchased a few money candles and a lovely Pyrite sun.

We wondered the neighbourhood and found an amazing bakery, chai tea house and apothecary.

Registration opened and then I wondered around the marketplace which is always completely incredible. Noel had a copy of Their Numinous Tarot and I am so excited about that deck being so close to being in my hands I can’t even. Then I went to the class held by Jadzia on ‘Things to consider when reading the cards’. After the first class of the symposium there was a meet and greet and then I went to dinner with a couple of friends and it was an early night.

Saturday was pretty much all workshops and presentations.

The presentations I went to were. Three Card Spread by Angelo Nasios, Past Lives with Lenormand by Rana George and I got to finally meet her and get her deck and she signed it for me. Tarot, Occultism & Witchcraft by Benebell Wen one of my Tarot friends I finally got to meet in person. I could gush I love this woman so hard. The other event I really wanted to go to was the Have Tarot, Will Party by Jenna Matlin but I did get a hug and a signed copy of her book which you can check out on her site too if you want to build an face to face Tarot Business.

Then we went to dinner in Portland with friends and an early night. I had biscuits for the first time. It was life changing.

Another round at the marketplace where I purchased the New Earth Tarot and I am so in love with these customs tables and boxes made by Hammer and Nail Wordworks. Check out their link they are incredible, I am putting some money away for one of these custom desk and readings spaces.

We had a big drive ahead of us so it was a quick goodbyes and then the drive home. So much happens on Sunday so next year I am going to make sure that I am there for the day.

Also I am hopefully going to be speaking next year at the event wink wink to Jaymi

So all in all it was an AMAZING weekend and I can not wait for next year.
I am super lucky that I also get to look forward to the Readers Studio in April. My Tarot conference joy for the year is not over yet.
