Hi, Tarot Tribe! It’s Ethony.

Welcome to the Tarot Readers Academy Tarot Cafe.

This week is a Tarot Activity Week. I got a request — I love me some requests! If you ever have a request hit me up.

It is all about the Tarot Drag today, folks.

As RuPaul says and sings, “We’re all born naked and the rest is drag.”

The clothes that we wear, the masks that we carry, are all projections of ourselves in the world. We all know the feeling when we are in our favorite dress or we have just had our hair done. Or when we have on our very well worn hat or comfy pants. There are feelings that are associated with what we look like.

I loved wearing my business suits when I worked in a corporate job. It was like my battle armor. So clothes, makeup, accessories all have power. Just ask the fashion and beauty industry.

The Tarot is no different. Each card, each figure has a feeling. The clothes and the aesthetics of the card are a key to the meanings of the card.

So we are going to do an exercise now, and you can redo this at any time where you step into the place of the Tarot figure, wear their clothes, and step in their shoes and see how it changes or enhances your connection to the card. This is a good exercise to do if you are struggling to connect with a specific card or even more powerful if you want to embody the energy of the card for magic or manifesting. It is super powerful!

This exercise is not going to work with ALL Tarot decks and ALL Tarot cards. Not all cards or decks have people in them. For this exercise, pick a deck that does have people in it. I recommend A Rider Waite Smith style deck.

This exercise is a semi-meditation, so if you can do this while you have no interruptions or minimal interruptions, it will help. I also recommend that you have a notebook or your Tarot journal with you so that you can record your experiences after the activity. So, let’s get to it!

Select the card that you want to work with. You can intentionally pick a card or you can just pick a card at random.

When you have selected the card hold it in your hands and look at the card for a few moments. Scan the card from top to bottom. While you are doing this, breath in and out deeply.

Now, really focus on the figure in the card and what they are wearing. What shoes they have on, or what you would imagine their shoes to be like if you can’t see them all the way, to how their hair is portrayed.

When you have this image clear in your mind, close your eyes. See yourself in a safe place where you can get changed and start to put on what clothes you just saw. Remember, everything down to the shoes and hair.

Now, envision a mirror in front of you and see yourself in the mirror. What does it feel like? Do you feel weird? Like a different person? Do you like what you see or no? What kind of vibration does this outfit hold for you? high or low? How does this make you feel?

When you are ready, you can open your eyes and record what you have experienced and discovered.
