The Vampire Tarot – Robert M. Place

Robert Place has produced some of the best work on Tarot (in my humble opinion). Illustrator and author of The Alchemical Tarot, The Angels Tarot, The Tarot of the Saints, The Buddha Tarot and now the Vampire Tarot. (Because Vampires are so hot right now! As a die hard Buffy fan I will argue that they were always hot, I know I am a geek) Robert has created a beautiful, bold well researched deck and book set and is presented wonderfully. The cards are quiet a bit bigger than your average Tarot card and are well made.

Based on the literature of Bram Stokers Dracula each of the characters in the book have their own card, with the Count making numerous appearances throughout the deck.

Here are some pictures of the deck and set.

  1. Thanks for posting pix. Beautful Magician but super disappointed he looks nothing like Bela Lugosi! These are supposed to be based on his breakthrough film and, indeed, The Madman is definitely actor Dwight Frye as Renfield from Dracula (1931), as are the Brides. But the Moon is definitely actress Carroll Borland as Luna in the cult classic, Mark of the Vampire. (1935)

      1. Hello,
Est-ce qu’un jour ce magnifique tarot va être ré-édité ? Ainsi que le Petit Lenormand ?
        Dites oui !

        Merci pour votre superbe travail
        M PLACE !
