Hi Tarot Bumblebees,
Today, I will talk about some of the reasons why the spells you cast just aren’t working. I will put my spell-crafting troubleshooter hat on and tell you what may be stopping your magic from manifesting.
When your spells don’t work, it isn’t because some Deity doesn’t like you or you do not deserve to be happy and have what you want. Most of the time, it is something that you can change and control.
Remember that these are tips that I share from my experience in the craft, and you may or may not agree with me. We all experience magic in our own way. Take what resonates with you and leave the rest. Even if you just ponder some of these things, it’s a place to start.
Your spell didn’t work because you are self-sabotaging consciously or unconsciously.
This one goes deep but let me give you a good example. You cast a love spell for a new partner and start dating. You meet different people and are instantly attracted to someone you know deep down is probably no good for you. They remind you of your past choices; you ignore some red flags because the chemistry is FIRE. Soon enough, you blame your busted love spell for the broken heart when in reality, you self-sabotaged by doing the same things you always do. Spells create change; that’s what they are supposed to do. If you are unwilling to change and do something different, don’t waste the energy casting a spell. There’s a reason that the Witches Pyramid base is “To Know.” If you don’t know yourself, really know yourself then you may not see any real results from your magic.
Your spell didn’t work because the timing was/is wrong.
Now, I’m not talking about how you cast a spell under the wrong moon influence, and therefore it turned to crap. Correspondences are meant to add power to your magic; rarely will they be the thing that makes or breaks a spell completely. I’m talking about the bigger universal timing. We may all be impatient humans running around on this earthly plain wanting everything NOW, but that isn’t how the universe works, and spirits don’t give a fuck about our timelines.
One of the reasons I always consult my spirit guides, higher self, and deities before I cast is to see if the timing is right before I cast my spell for optimal success.
Your spell didn’t work because it just didn’t work in the way you expected it would, and therefore, you see it as a failure.
Not everything will manifest in the perfect way you want it to. Sometimes the universe/spirit knows what we need versus what we want, and we get unexpected results of magic. It’s possible that you weren’t specific enough when you built and carried out the spell or your intentions were muddy, but sometimes we get what we need rather than what we want. This is not a failure.
Your spell didn’t work because you haven’t done the necessary muggle work to aid the magic.
You can’t cast a spell for a new job and sit on your ass and expect that the perfect job is going to just land in your lap. You need to work on your CV, apply for jobs, network, turn up to your interviews on time, and all of that other stuff that goes into getting work. There is ALWAYS some form of grunt/muggle/practical work that needs to be done when working your magic. Always.
Your spell didn’t work because you didn’t learn your lesson.
If you’re trying to run away from your problems and patch things up with magic, don’t be surprised when it doesn’t go the way you want it to. You can’t outrun the lessons that you are here to learn. You can dodge them for a while, ignore them and put off the work, but eventually, you will have to get on board and learn some life stuff to move on and succeed in life.
Your spell didn’t work because you lack integrity.
It may sound harsh, and I guess it is a little, but if your words have no weight, then your will power and energy behind casting will be a small fizzle and not the power bang you needed it to be. I’m sure some adept liars and charlatans are great at getting what they want and casting their glamors, but that is not real empowered magic. If you show up when you say you will, follow-through, and keep your word, it’s all going to help your magic be successful.
So that is my list, lovely ones. I hope this gave you something to think about. Did I miss something? Let me know in the comments below if you have had a spell failure.
