It has been a really lazy Easter Weekend. I really should have done some Uni work, maybe taken some more photos for Etsy, completed my book list, but I didn’t.
The Tarot is used in the movie (how can you not have divination and magic when you are telling a story about New Orleans) and while the villain in the movie uses them, they are at least represented correctly. They use the three card spread, telling the past, present and future of Prince Naveen and his servant.
The cards shown were the 9 of Coins which was shown when the Dr told the Prince that he needed to marry into money. Also the Tower was presented when the Prince was told he was out of funds. The last card the Prince gets is the Fool, which makes sense as his character is quiet like The Fool. The 10 of wands was shown for the Princes’ servant, a heavy load. I will say one thing for Disney, they do their research.

Another movie I watched was the Secret of Kells. Which was amazing. The animation was something I had not seen before in a major picture. The design and intricacy of the art work was so beautiful. It showed so much of the beauty of the forrest and Celtic artwork. I would love to climb an oak tree like the one in the film. I recommend everyone to watch that movie.
