Last weekend I was lucky enough to be asked to take part in my Friends daughters naming and blessing ceremony in Mount Barker, Western Australia.

We all gathered at a stunning family farm house which was warm and inviting and simple stunning for the event. My friends parents house is rammed earth and stone with beautiful high ceilings with a feature fire place that is large enough to park a small car inside.

We went down to the beautiful circle space for the ritual and it was such a lovely ceremony. There friends and family blessed Astrid with the elemental gifts and her parents asked that the Goddess and God guide, inspire and protect her on her path until she was able to make her own confirmation of which spiritual journey she would like to take.

After much bubble blowing and many photos we went back up to the farm house for lunch and a well over due catch up. It was great to spend some quality time with the friends I don’t get to see all too often thanks to geological positioning. We talked late into the night while watching some truly classic 80’s video clips.
