Like most witches, I love books. My bookcases are bursting at the seams with more books than I will probably ever get to read this lifetime. When I discovered Wicca, Witchcraft and Tarot I read EVERYTHING I could about the subject. I devoured books as fast as I could. Some of them really stuck with me, they changed me. They opened my world and they lead me home because finding the craft felt like coming home. The 11 books I’m about to share shaped me as a witch. They vary in subject matter - witchcraft, magic, tarot, paganism, Wicca, and there’s...

So yeah I know I am well behind the 8 ball with this post being that there aren't many episodes left to the season but I had to post this witchy, bitchy awesomeness on here!A few of my friends have loved all of the American Horror Story seasons but I can't handle much scary stuff so I never watched it. That all changed when the subject matter became something that I knew a lot about and wasn't going to get even remotely scared about. It also helped to have some glowing references from friends about the show.Jessica Lange is a...

Welcome to All Hallows Eve.While I could write a blog post all about the things that I love, like travel, chocolate and certain people in my life I wanted to talk about Love in relation to the Major Arcana and what each of the Major Arcana cards may present to you in a reading...

Let’s face it Witches have gotten a lot of bad press when it comes to the portrayal of their appearance, abilities and whom they have dedicated their life to serving. As a Witch myself I am so glad that there are more and more positive Witches in books, television and movies. So here is my own appreciation post to those who have created and become  these fantastic characters in books, TV Series and Movies.  The Witches below are listed in order of them appearing in my life. Glinda – The Good Witch of the North...

So there is a new TV series that is going to be premiering on Lifetime in the states starting in October called the Witches of East End. A full season of the series has been ordered by Lifetime. It is based on a book series by Melissa de la Cruz of the same name and stars some pretty interesting people. I only stumbled across this series because I follow Jenna Dewan-Tatum on Twitter and she is beginning to promote it.Taken from Wikipedia the overview of the series:The series stars Julia Ormond as lead character Joanna Beauchamp, a witch and mother of Freya Beauchamp...

S.C.O.T.I.F had it's first circle of the calendar year this afternoon and we choose three words for the year.A friend of mine introduced me to this last year and I really enjoyed it as it helped me stay focused on what I was trying to achieve and manifest into my life. The words are like little reminders of the goals you have for the year and they have been powerful reminders of what I want for myself each time I saw them.So here are some of the words we chose and declared in sacred space what we want to bring into...

This is completely my opinion and experience and I in no way claim to be an expert or the authority of how one is to take a Patron Deity.I have always loved Ancient cultures and especially keen on their many myths and legends. I collected series of books about it and borrowed the Penguin dictionary of Classical Mythology from the library more times that I can count in grade 8 at high school. (I now own a copy of that book and still read and reference it)One Goddess always took my interest. It was Greek Goddess Athena. Right from the very start I was drawn to her. The fact that...

As we experience the longest nightWe hold to hope of the returning sunGiving thanks for the many blessingsThe darkness, the stillness the peaceResting and reflectingAwaiting the coming SpringThis weekend was full of celebration with two Yule/Mid-Winter Solstice Sabbats. My coven and I were invited to join my dear friend Tamara at her first ritual in her new circle and at her amazing property. (So thinking of running my Tarot courses there) We gathered in the main hall and spent time greeting friends and then gathered for the official welcoming and song. Tamara then lead us down the lantern lit winding path...

SamhainThe night where the veil between the worlds is thinestWhere our Ancestors and past loved ones can visit and communicate with usA time to listen to ancient wisdomWhere we prepare for the upcoming hibernation of winterA time of reflection and remembranceAll Hallows EveSamhain AltarThis weekend past the Coven spent the weekend camping for Samhain in Dwellingup in Western Australia. There we were surrounded by beautiful forest near a river.  Back to basics we had no running water, no phone reception and thanks to our horrid summer a complete fire ban, subsequently making the nights very cold.It is funny that it...

What a full on weekend, full of really huge amounts of energy.Saturday a managed to be so blessed as to have some of the people that I adore the most in the world join me in the recording studio to finish the drumming, singing and chanting for the Wicca CD series that I have now finished. It was intense and really amazing. I was running so high after drawing so much energy over that session. I think I would have needed pegging to the ground if it was not for the wonderful Amanda and her amazing grounding pasta. Then Sunday was...
