Last night the girls and I went to the Combined Covens Social Clubs’ Pagan Community Ball for Samhain (Halloween).

It was a masquerade ball and we had an awesome time. About half a can of hair spray and loads of bobby pins went into my hair, I never thought I was going to get the same stuff out, it did with a lot of conditioner.

Some of the costumes were amazing and people had gone to such a great effort to get involved. The ritual conducted by The Temple was great, very Wiccan, very traditional and very fitting. It felt nice to be in that energy again. There is a certain feeling that comes over you in sacred circle when the ancients and the ancestors are called in for the night of thinnest veil. It was very moving.

Samhain is my second favorite Sabbat, with Yule being number one for me. Here are some photos of the night.

Until Next week...

The last time I got my hair done I accidentally fell asleep on it with all of the hair spray and bobby pins in it. When I woke up it was like a sculpture. Oops.

Looks like you had an awesome time, glad your weekend is going well!

Happy Samhain! At first, I was extremely confused. Than I realized you’d celebrate Samhain on a different date than we do!

Over here, in the US, it’s celebrated on October 31st. ^_^

Blessed Beltane to those in the Northern Hemisphere.

There are a lot of Pagans who still follow the NH wheel of the year. Most of us follow the SH Wheel, which makes sense as it is a nature religion 🙂

Would love to have a Northern Hemisphere Samhain would be such a blast.
